Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have reportedly secured a wedding date and will allegedly be saying “I do” ahead of NFL training camp in New York City‘s iconic Madison Square Garden.
After revealing that he was returning to the Kansas City Chiefs for another year—and that Swift helped him make his decision—reports claimed that the “Lover” hitmaker and the tight end, both 36, are planning to say “I do” very soon.
According to ESPN’s Nate Taylor, the couple will be exchanging vows “before” the Chiefs’ training camp. Several reports have indicated that the couple will make their husband and wife debut on July 3. The training camp is scheduled to take place from July 29-August 20.
Page Six reported that Swift and Kelce are planning to wed in New York—where the singer also owns a home—claiming that their “save the date” not only lists the Big Apple as their location of choice, but also notes that they will tie the knot on July 3.
Further fueling the speculation, social media users have pointed to reported road closures outside the venue as signs that preparations are underway, while several celebrities have also hinted that they’ve received invitations to what is rumored to be an exclusive celebration.
Previous reports had suggested that Swift and Kelce’s wedding would take place on June 13 in a nod to the “Bad Blood” singer’s lucky number.
If the latest reports are true, the A-list couple will join a long line of celebrities who have wed in New York City, where Swift has owned property for more than a decade.
The Kansas City team will begin their training camp on July 29.
According to ESPN, the athlete, who got engaged to Swift, 36, in August 2025, will return to the Chiefs on a one-year contract—suggesting that he is eager for one more shot at Super Bowl glory after the team’s incredibly disappointing 2025 season, which saw them miss out on a playoff spot for the first time in years.
The outlet stated that Kelce made his decision to return to the Chiefs before the NFL’s free agency window, which started on March 9. He is said to have informed the team of his decision as free agency kicked off.
His contract is said to be worth $12 million but carries a maximum value of $15 million, according to ESPN expert Adam Schefter.
During an appearance on Pat McAfee‘s eponymous talk show on Tuesday, Kelce opened up about his decision to return to the NFL. He admitted that he had been considering retirement, explaining that he felt the need to “take a step back” before committing to another season.
He then praised Swift for helping to give him the motivation he needed to return to the NFL.
“We share the same love for what we do, and we’ve had this … desire. I’m still in love with this game,” he said.
Kelce added that watching his partner “keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies … and on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does” helped to motivate him to continue chasing his own dreams.
“Yeah, of course that’s motivating,” he continued. “That’s motivating for anyone to see, let alone my fiancée, and knowing that I’m going through something where I’m trying to figure out what exactly the future holds for me, something like that definitely motivates me to say, ‘You know what, I’m not done either.'”
He also praised the Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, as well as coaches Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy, explaining that he can’t wait to get back out on the field working with them.
“I still love going to work, putting on the pads, grinding it out, and just playing the game, you know, and I think my best opportunity was playing for the Chiefs yet again and running this thing back with Pat Mahomes and Coach Reid,” he said.
“And got my guy Eric Bieniemy, Coach Bieniemy back, and there’s a lot of pieces in Kansas City that I just, I absolutely love and I can’t wait to get back in the building with.”
As well as returning to the Chiefs’ stadium, this also means that Kelce is committing to another year of living at his palatial Leawood, KS, mansion, which he purchased for $6 million in November 2023. He has since made numerous updates to the mansion, including the addition of a man cave, which he began working on in October 2024.
Both Swift and Kelce likely have very emotional ties to the Kansas dwelling—which is where the NFL star chose to pop the question over the summer, after turning his backyard into a floral wonderland to surprise the singer.
Page Six previously claimed that Swift and Kelce were planning to tie the knot at the property on June 13, 2026.
It was further alleged that the duo had offered a hefty sum to another couple who had already secured that date for their own wedding.
Insiders told the outlet that Swift and Kelce have wanted to tie the knot at Rhode Island‘s Ocean House Resort venue for quite some time.
The couple reportedly made the decision to pivot locations after realizing that they wanted to invite more guests than they had initially planned for—pushing the total number of invitees to more than their previously chosen location could accommodate.
Rumors previously circulated on social media that Swift and Kelce had paid another engaged couple to give up their June 13 booking at The Breakers mansion just a few miles away.
“An East Coast woman was planning on getting married somewhere this coming summer, right?” podcast host Fiona Shea recounted in a video. “She was reached out to by the establishment where she’s having her wedding and they said, ‘Hey, would you be willing to actually change the date of your wedding?’
“She said, ‘F–k no.’ And they said, ‘This client is willing to pay for your wedding and honeymoon if you change the date of your wedding, because she needs this.’ And this is allegedly Taylor Swift.”
June 13 is a day that would likely hold particular significance for Swift, who was born on Dec. 13 and has always considered the date her lucky number.
It comes as no surprise that Swift had her bachelorette bash in Rhode Island, where the singer already holds a glamorous property, which she has long used as a sanctuary when she needs to take a break from her busy career.
The chart-topper certainly has plenty of experience hosting her A-list friends at the abode, having held a now-famous Fourth of July gathering at the property for years.
The summertime holiday has become synonymous with Swift’s iconic celebrity gatherings at her abode in Rhode Island, where guests have included Hadid, Gomez, Delevingne, and Blake Lively.
Beginning in 2013, the year that she purchased her Watch Hill dwelling for $17.75 million, Swift has gathered some of her nearest and dearest at the property to mark the patriotic holiday in true celebrity style.
Though she has taken a few years off from her hosting duties—namely when she dated British actor Joe Alwyn from 2017 until 2023—the singer’s parties have become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about A-list gatherings.
The residence—which is located in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House”—currently sprawls across 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
However, it was revealed at the start of the year that Swift was carrying out some extensive renovations that will see the property outfitted with an additional bedroom, while one of the existing rooms will be turned into an “enlarged bedroom suite,” according to the planning application.
In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.
