HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa has paid touching tribute to her co-parent and close pal Christina Haack with a sweet message about their friendship—while also looking back on the many “iconic” moments they have shared.
The “Selling Sunset” star, 38, took to Instagram to mark Haack’s 43rd birthday by sharing a series of photos of the two women that highlighted their favorite moments together.
In the photos, El Moussa and Haack could be seen giggling by the pool in matching hot-pink swimsuits, enjoying glasses of Champagne, getting their glam on side by side, and attending A-lister events together.
Alongside the photo carousel, El Moussa—who is married to Haack’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa—reflected on how much their relationship has evolved, writing that it has been “a gift” to see their co-parenting dynamic grow into a genuine friendship.
She praised the support they have shown each other through different stages of life, celebrating their milestones and successes while looking forward to making even more memories together.
“Happy birthday @christinahaack! Some of the iconic moments we’ve shared these last few years. What a gift it is to watch our co-parenting turn into real friendship, cheering each other on in every chapter, every venture, every win! Cheers to many more celebrations,” she penned.
Haack, who shares children Taylor, 15, and Brayden, 10, with Tarek, responded with an equally heartfelt message in the comments.
“Awww love you, our friendship, co-parenting together and working together. Cheers to another year of bigger and better things to come,” she replied.
The birthday exchange highlighted just how far the two women have come since Heather Rae and Tarek tied the knot in 2021—three years after his divorce from Haack was finalized.
“The Flip Off” co-stars have grown increasingly close in recent years, regularly spending time as a “blended family,” which also includes Haack’s son Hudson, whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead, and Heather Rae and Tarek’s son, Tristan.
Along with Haack’s boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, the co-parents regularly jet off on vacations together and spend ample time socializing outside of their shared commitment to their hit HGTV show, which is due to return for a second season.
Mere weeks ago, Haack shared an intimate glimpse inside the group chat she shares with the El Moussas and Larocca, revealing her surprise at learning her partner and former spouse recently enjoyed an impromptu “boys night” together.
She offered fans a peek inside the foursome’s private conversation, laying bare the cheeky nickname they have given their group chat, “Double Trouble.”
As if that wasn’t sign enough that relations between Haack and her ex are better than ever, the reality TV star also offered a look at the close bond forming between Larocca and Tarek, who revealed in the message thread that they’d been spending time together “offline.”
One of the most recent messages posted in the chat featured a selfie of the two men, grinning from ear to ear as they enjoyed a game of pool together.
Haack then joked that the photo was one of the last things she had expected to receive, captioning the screenshot: “My boyfriend and Heather’s husband having a boys night ‘offline’ wasn’t on my bingo card.”
Haack and Tarek have become increasingly close in recent years, having initially struggled to find common ground in the wake of their 2016 split and 2018 divorce.
When the former spouses teamed up on a new HGTV project, “The Flip Off,” in which they star alongside Heather Rae, they opened up about how their relationship has evolved over the years, admitting that, while they “went through a lot of stuff,” they are now in “a good place.”
Haack and Heather Rae have also formed a close bond, one that now appears to be shared by their respective partners, if the latest group chat exchange is anything to go by.
The friendly dynamic among the foursome is widely expected to feature prominently in the upcoming second season of “The Flip Off,” which began production in September 2025.
Haack revealed in a March interview with Entertainment Tonight that her partner will be making an appearance in the series, although she neglected to share more details about his involvement.
“Ummm … yeah, he will be involved a little bit,” she stated simply.
